General Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 18 September 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to offers, orders and agreements through card-frontier.com. Mandatory consumer rights always take precedence where a provision would conflict with them.

2. Definitions

Customer: any natural person or legal entity placing an order. Consumer: a natural person acting mainly outside a profession or business. Business customer: a customer acting mainly in the exercise of a profession or business. Product: including TCG products, sports cards, singles, sealed products, graded cards, accessories, figures, imports and pre-orders.

3. Applicability and priority

These terms apply alongside our Returns Policy, Shipping Policy, Privacy Policy and any specific terms stated on a product page. A specific product condition takes precedence over a general provision where it is legally valid and clearly communicated before purchase.

If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in force as far as possible.

4. Consumer or business customer

The customer's status is determined by the objective purpose and circumstances of the transaction. A company name, VAT number, business email address or delivery to a business address may be an indication, but is not decisive on its own.

Where there is reasonable doubt, we may request additional information. If the objective circumstances show that the order is mainly for professional or business purposes, we may apply the business terms to the extent permitted by law.

5. Minors and authority

The customer must have authority to enter into the agreement. Minors must have permission from a parent or legal representative where required by law.

6. Offers and product information

We aim to display product titles, photos, prices, stock, language, set, card number, grading, certificate details and other characteristics correctly. For unique singles and graded cards, the displayed photos may form part of the product description.

Minor differences caused by screen display, lighting, photography, reflections or manufacturing tolerances do not automatically constitute a defect. The customer should check relevant product information before purchase.

7. Condition of singles

Assessment of raw-card condition is partly subjective. Where we state a condition, it is based on a reasonable visual assessment. Photos and expressly described defects form part of what the customer may reasonably expect.

A raw card is not sold with a guaranteed future grading score unless we expressly agree this in writing.

8. Graded cards

A graded card is sold based on the grading company, grade, slab and certificate details shown or described. We are not responsible for later regrading, database changes, label changes or a different opinion by a grading company.

The grade relates to the card according to the relevant grading company and does not mean the slab is completely free from light production or handling marks unless we expressly promise otherwise.

9. Sealed products and random contents

For sealed trading-card products, contents are determined by the manufacturer. We do not guarantee any particular pull, hit rate, chase card, manga card, autograph, parallel, serial card, god pack, secret rare, alternate art or financial return unless expressly stated with the product.

Disappointment about random contents or market value is not in itself non-conformity.

10. Imports, languages and regions

Import products may differ in language, packaging, barcode, card numbering, set structure, promo cards, pull rates, release planning or official distribution region. The language/region stated on the product page determines what the customer may reasonably expect.

11. Obvious errors

Obvious typing, entry, technical, stock or pricing errors are not binding where the customer should reasonably have understood that an error had occurred. We may correct or cancel such an error and refund amounts received for the cancelled part.

This does not allow us to apply a normal later price change to an already valid order.

12. Ordering and order confirmation

After placing an order, the customer generally receives an automated receipt or order confirmation. We may refuse or cancel an order where reasonable and legally permitted, including in cases of obvious error, insufficient stock, failed payment, suspected fraud, abuse of discount codes, incorrect data, sanctions or import restrictions, or an impossible delivery.

If we cancel, amounts paid for the cancelled part are refunded, subject to any lawful set-off.

13. Stock and allocation

Displayed stock may differ because of simultaneous orders, synchronisation or stock corrections. If stock is insufficient, we may offer an alternative in consultation with the customer or cancel and refund the unavailable part.

14. Pre-orders

For pre-orders, a stated release or delivery date is indicative unless expressly agreed as a fixed date. Suppliers, distributors or manufacturers may delay, reduce or cancel deliveries.

In the event of allocation or supplier shortage, we may reasonably divide quantities, partially deliver an order or cancel the unavailable part. That part will be refunded.

For business customers, pre-orders are binding and non-cancellable unless agreed otherwise in writing. Mandatory consumer rights remain applicable.

15. Prices, VAT and additional costs

Prices in the webshop are displayed including VAT where legally applicable to the relevant sale. Shipping and other additional costs are shown before the order is completed.

We currently deliver through the webshop to the Netherlands and EU countries available in checkout. Deliveries outside the EU are currently not offered through the webshop.

16. Payment

Payment is made through the methods available in checkout. We may suspend processing or delivery until payment has been received or sufficiently authorised.

In the event of a chargeback or payment dispute, we may provide evidence of the order, delivery, product identity and communications to the payment provider where lawful. Demonstrable reasonable costs of fraud or an unjustified chargeback may be recovered to the extent permitted by law.

17. Discounts and promotions

Discounts apply under the stated conditions and while applicable stock or the promotion period lasts. Discount codes are not automatically combinable and may be refused in cases of abuse, incorrect combinations or technical errors.

If a return means an objective promotion condition is no longer met, we may recalculate the benefit to the extent permitted by law.

18. Shipping and delivery

We deliver to destinations available in checkout. Processing and delivery are further governed by our Shipping Policy.

For consumers, risk remains with us until the goods are received by the consumer or a designated third party, subject to statutory exceptions. For business customers, risk passes on handover to the carrier to the extent permitted by law unless agreed otherwise in writing.

19. Address and receipt

The customer is responsible for correct and complete delivery information. Actual additional costs caused by incorrect details, refusal or failure to collect in time may be charged to the extent permitted by law.

20. Right of withdrawal

Consumers generally have 14 days after receipt to withdraw unless a statutory exception applies. Withdrawal can be made by an unambiguous statement to info@card-frontier.com, the model withdrawal form in our Returns Policy, or any online withdrawal function offered by our webshop.

Failure to collect or refusal of a package does not automatically count as an unambiguous withdrawal.

21. Returns and diminished value

A consumer who handles a product beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning risks liability for actual, demonstrable diminished value.

For sealed collector items, breaking a factory seal or shrinkwrap can substantially reduce resale value because the product can no longer be sold as sealed. Any diminished value is determined objectively and case by case; it is not a predetermined penalty.

For singles and graded cards, we may record photos, serial numbers, certificate numbers and other product characteristics to prevent swaps and return fraud.

22. Refunds

For a valid full consumer withdrawal, we refund the amounts required by law, including the cost of the cheapest standard outbound delivery option offered by us. A surcharge for a more expensive delivery method chosen by the customer does not have to be refunded.

For a goods purchase, within the limits of the law we may wait to refund until we receive the product or the consumer provides proof of return, whichever occurs first.

23. Statutory warranty and conformity

Consumers are entitled to statutory conformity rights. A product must meet what the consumer may reasonably expect based on, among other things, product type, price, description, photos and express agreements.

Opening packaging or a sealed product does not automatically remove statutory conformity rights for a defect already present at delivery. Damage, missing contents or deterioration demonstrably arising after delivery through incorrect use, careless handling, moisture, heat, pressure, dropping, bending or other circumstances attributable to the customer is not a defect for which we are responsible.

For random trading-card contents, not receiving a desired pull or financial value is not a defect unless specific contents were expressly guaranteed.

24. Complaints about damage or incorrect delivery

Report issues as soon as possible with the order number and relevant photos. A request for prompt reporting does not limit consumer rights. Keep packaging and the label until any carrier investigation is complete.

25. Retention of title

To the extent permitted by law, delivered goods remain our property until the purchase price due for them has been paid in full.

26. Fraud, abuse and security

We may carry out reasonable verification and suspend, refuse or cancel orders where there are concrete indications of fraud, identity misuse, payment fraud, return fraud, chargeback abuse, automated abuse, incorrect data or promotion abuse.

We may restrict customers or accounts where necessary to prevent fraud, security risks or serious abuse, to the extent permitted by law and without prohibited discrimination.

27. Market value and investment risk

Trading cards and collectibles can fluctuate significantly in market value. We do not provide financial or investment advice and do not guarantee appreciation, liquidity, resale price or return. A price increase or decrease after purchase does not in itself create a right to a price adjustment.

28. Business inspection and complaint duty

Business customers should inspect deliveries as soon as possible. Visible damage, shortages or incorrect delivery should preferably be reported in writing within 5 business days of receipt; hidden defects preferably within 5 business days after discovery. To the extent permitted by law, an unreasonably late report may limit our ability to investigate or seek recourse.

These periods do not limit mandatory consumer rights.

29. Liability

For consumers, liability is not excluded or limited where the law does not permit this.

For business customers, to the extent permitted by law, indirect loss, consequential loss, lost profit, lost savings, lost trading margin, reputational damage, value fluctuations and missed grading or resale opportunities are excluded. Our total liability for direct loss in B2B transactions is generally limited to the amount paid by the business customer for the relevant product or order giving rise to the loss.

These limitations do not apply in cases of intent or deliberate recklessness by our management or where limitation is prohibited by law.

30. Force majeure

We are not liable for failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including outages, cyber incidents, fire, water damage, strikes, transport problems, extreme weather, customs issues, production or supplier shortages, allocation, government measures, war, pandemics or natural disasters.

We may suspend performance or cancel a part that remains impossible to perform. Amounts paid for definitively undelivered products are refunded.

31. Intellectual property

Our own texts, product photos, designs, banners, trade dress, code and brand expressions may not be commercially copied, distributed or adapted without permission, subject to statutory exceptions.

Third-party brand names, including Pokémon, One Piece, Magic: The Gathering, Lorcana, Dragon Ball, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Topps and Panini, belong to their respective rights holders. CFC is not officially affiliated with these rights holders unless expressly stated.

32. Reviews and customer content

A customer submitting content represents that it is lawful and not misleading. We may moderate unlawful, threatening, privacy-infringing, spam-like or demonstrably fraudulent content to the extent permitted by law. Where we publish reviews, we aim to be transparent about how authenticity is checked.

33. Privacy

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, including for orders, payment, shipping, customer service, administration, security and fraud prevention.

34. Complaints

Complaints can be submitted through info@card-frontier.com. We aim to provide a substantive response within 14 days or tell you if we need more time.

35. Changes

We may amend these terms for future orders. An order is generally governed by the version applicable when the agreement was concluded unless a later change applies by law or is more favourable to the customer and we apply it.

36. Governing law and competent court

Agreements with Card Frontier Collectibles are governed by Dutch law. A consumer always retains protection under mandatory law that cannot be contractually excluded under applicable international rules and retains access to the legally competent court.

Disputes with business customers are submitted, to the extent a forum choice can validly be made, to the competent court in the district where Card Frontier Collectibles is established.
